Description

Our government client is seeking the services of an experienced Data Entry Clerk.

Duties

  • Enters alphabetic, numeric or symbolic data from source documents in to computer by keyboard in to the database;
  • Looks up information that is missing from source documents when it is missing;
  • Follows instructions given and the format displayed on screen with the use of a user manual;
  • Must compare data entered with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format on screen to detect errors;
  • Deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data;
  • Confirms the accuracy of previously entered data;
  • Compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data to be entered;
  • Keeps a record of the work completed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience within the last 5 years with the following:

  • Experience in working with a logical relational database;
  • Experience in data entry in to computer by using a keyboard;
  • Experience in database administration in a networked environment;
  • Experience in compiling, sorting and verification of accuracy of data;
  • Experience working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to pay attention to details
